Alexis Courtney is a commercial and editorial 
photographer in Richmond, VA.

She grew up in Delaware and studied Advertising Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Soon after graduating, she moved to New York City and worked as a photography assistant and digital technician for 5 years.  In 2011 she headed west to attend the San Francisco Art Institute where she received her MFA in Photgraphy in 2013. 

After a brief stint in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, soaking up the sun and living in an RV, she moved to Richmond, VA.

She also runs a ceramic studio (Hand / Thrown) and a photography studio (Focal Point) in Richmond.
